Well, that was the case with our home office. We finished it almost exactly a year ago, but it never felt "done" to me. It was lacking something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Then the drapes arrived that I ordered for our family room, and I had an "ah ha" moment. They belong in the office, not the family room!
Sure enough, they provide some much needed pattern that the room was previously lacking.
Seems Harry and Georgia agree!

What a great looking office. I love the combo of the striped rug with the pattern in the curtain. I never would have thought of doing that.

Those ARE really nice. And I like how the space is so open, yet not bare. Window treatments make me insane; they're so absolutely crucial, such a pain to find, and so ridiculously expensive. You've done a really nice job here.
