Little Lady

Look who I took home with me a couple of days ago from the antique mall.

At just $15 I couldn't resist.
Chris wants to go on the record to say he doesn't like her at all, but I think she's just fantastic. Art is a subjective thing.

Now where to put her? Maybe I should start a gallery wall in our upstairs hallway. Perhaps Honest Abe would like it there too...

I totally agree - art is subjective and you have to go with things that speak to you! Loving the peacock blue in this piece!

Score!!! Immediately thought of Abe and our trip when I saw her!! You are definitely on your way now to a collection, Carrie:)

Do you worry about her staring at you? Maybe that is why Chris isn't digging her. I think she is great.

She looks like her color palette would go really well in your living room too. I love Honest Abe!

I think she's super cool. Plus you can't be that price!

I think it's so fun to get artwork that speaks to you because it makes you happy everytime you look at it. Now Chris will have to choose something he likes. I'm picturing that lawn chair he had in his bachelor pad in a black and white photo.

I think she's fantastic too. It's very interesting and I could look at it for a long time, which in my mind = great art.

I think it's even better when the husband is weirded out by the art. I kind of want to find her sister just to test my marriage. ;)

Are you going to tell people she is a relative...maybe Chris's relative?

Art is subjective for sure. I think she has charisma plus i like the color palette.

I like the idea of starting a family history :) You know when you go to old homes and they always have some stories to tell you (or that's what I've read in books, not that I've ever been to one now that I think about it).
