Why so smart? 'Cause it was cheap and easy to DIY.
This was actually an art project I did a million years ago that recently got a second life thanks to a new inexpensive Ikea frame.
White is the new black in case you haven't heard.
Using a chisel tip Sharpie, I freehanded the design. If you've never tried it, freehanding little circles to make bigger circles is pretty easy.
The design is based on a fabric pattern that I'd seen in magazine somewhere. I splurged and bought thick, high-quality watercolor paper, but it couldn't have been more than a couple dollars.
Couple a dollars, in less than a hour...now that's what I call "wicked smaht".

Fancy! I'm loving your bedroom updates!
"wicked smaht" for sure, (with an East coast accent I do believe)! Love the size and whimsy and it looks perfect in it's new home!
I love it. So simple, but impactful. I look at your bedding and now the art and think I should send you my black and white pillow that I have on my bed - it would be a perfect match and I'm moving towards blue again in the bedroom.
So simple and so cute! I love an easy craft that has a big impact like this...one more thing to put in my DIY file. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love it! The white frame really makes the black circles pop! Great job!
Oh and have I ever fully drooled over your crown molding? AMAZING!

Looks great! I love the spot you chose for it too.
I believe you may have inspired me my friend Carrie! I love it. I also have a piece of art that Sheila did at school that I might frame - you're the first to hear that so don't bank on it but I'm thinking it's a done deal - just need to get the frame.
So simple and creative. Good work! Personalized art is often the best, in my mind. I think the new frame suits it best too.
That's beautiful art! You could make loads on etsy with that! It's really pretty and looks great in its new home. :)
Nice! I like the scale of it. Your bedroom is looking beautiful.
SO SMART! I thought you were going to say it was framed fabric or something, but it's ten times more awesome that you freehanded it!
Okay that last one was my comment. :) Must become a less spastic typist.
