Haus und Garten

Day 2 of our visit to see my parents found us on another house tour, this time in a quaint little neighborhood known as German Village. German Village is a historic district in Columbus, Ohio settled by German immigrants 150 years ago.
German Village is my kind of neighborhood! Pedestrian friendly, lots of charming shops and restaurants, streets paved with brick, and plenty of residential eye candy. I found myself snapping pictures at almost everything I saw.

Thanks Mom and Dad!

What a quaint town - it reminds me a lot of Doylestown which is not far from our house. Lots of historic features and architectural details. And what a great photo of you and your parents! Have a great weekend Carrie!

You must try Pistacia Vera the next time you go to German Village. They have the most amazing pastries and it is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast or lunch, as well.

They have the best Pain Au Raisin pastry I have ever had.

This was like a step back in time, when life was slower and more relaxed. I love the feel of this, and a hitching post!! I have wanted a hitching post for the longest time. By the way, you and your mom have the same nose, cute ;)
