Worth the Wait

Crazy things tend to happen on Friday the 13th.
Chris finally finishing the side tables has got to be right up there :)
Do you all remember last November when he brought home the lumber?
Somehow between then and now he transformed all those little boards into functional and beautiful pieces.  Chris has built some fine furniture in his day (like the headboard and bench in our master bedroom), but I think these side tables are his best work yet.

He even added brass caster cups to each leg.
So fancy.

Just look at all that surface area and shelving.
I'm going to have a whole lot of fun styling them.

They are beauties - great great work Chris! Well worth the wait. I think you have a few good books that will look mighty purty on those shelves too. I just picked up Black & White again - that's a great one. Have a great weekend Carrie! I'm sure you'll be having fun with getting those tables accessorized (do the guys think we're crazy when we do that stuff? probably.)

Thanks for stopping by The 2 Seasons. We have a great time with our little hobby, and it keeps us close even though we live hundreds of miles apart. I enjoyed your blog. I read lots of your posts. That German Village tour looks interesting. We have eaten there several times because my husband often has business in Columbus. Good luck on your house projects. The tables are great! Congrats to the hubs.
