Clawfoot Heaven

If there's such a thing as Heaven for tubs, then this is certainly the place.

A few weeks ago Chris and I went on a little field trip to New Bedford, Massachusetts to check out New England Demolition and Salvage. We weren't looking for anything in particular, but I kind of wished I was in the market for a tub.

Or a sink

If you are looking for it (and even if you aren't), this is the place to find it.

They also have a section of antiques where I found this fine frame.

Sure it needs a little rub-n-buffing to repair the corners, but I love the aged and timeworn look. Since bringing it home I've been obsessively scouring Etsy like a madwoman for an affordable 12 x 16 inch abstract on canvas.
No luck yet. This might have to be a do-it-myselfer project.

Oh my gosh, I've never heard of this place! I think a little drive to New Bedford may be in my future! Especially since I've got bathroom reno's on the brain ;) Thanks!

Wow, that is claw foot tub heaven. Never seen so many in one spot. I wish I could replace my ginormous garden tub with one.

I love clawfoot tubs - the style does not fit my era of the house though ;(

All those tubs are kind of maddening. Oddly, or not, Pink Floyd starting playing in my mind. "all in all, you're just another..." Oh, and we got $17 to scrap our tub. $350+ OUCH!

I love looking around at places like that! We don't have one of those here in Birmingham. :( M.

That place would be the death of me! Cocoa and hearts on Etsy has some nice hand painted canvases :)

I have a renewed love with Rub N Buff stuff. Just whipped a old mirror into shape. Now if only I can blink my eyes and wish one of those lovely tubs into my home. Dreaming.
