Gilded House Numbers

One of the things that sold me on this house were the "gold leafed" house numbers on the transom over our front door. It wasn't until we moved in that we realized that the numbers are just a paint job that looks DIY'd. Isn't it funny how your perception during walkthroughs prior to moving in can be so different from actuality?
Yes, we stil have paint touch ups to do and yes, that light fixture still needs to be replaced.

I'd always thought we'd have to hire a professional sign maker to replace them so the project moved to the "nice to have, but not a necessity list". So imagine my delight the other day when I stumbled upon this website that will custom make gold leafed numbers that we can adhere to the transom ourselves.
Wouldn't something like this look so much better?

The only hard part is going to be choosing a font.

It's those little details that make the difference!

Now this is the type of decision I would agonize over for the longest time. They are all beautiful.

I like these!

We still don't have house numbers..and we've lived here for almost 4 years. Oops.

That's awesome! Don't you love when little thing like that get to move up the list and it's much cheaper than you expected?

Ooh that's going to be cool! Choosing a font will be tough but those of us without amazing old transoms don't have much sympathy for you. ha! :)

Those are really cool, I think I like the second choice the most but I would have a hard time picking as well.
